CLEAR Foundation Package

At CLEAR Dog Training, we specialise in practical in-home training sessions designed to help owners build calm, enjoyable relationships with their dogs in real-life situations. 
 
All sessions are conducted personally by CLEAR owner and head trainer Caroline Strainig, giving owners consistency and the opportunity to work with the same trainer throughout their dog’s training journey. 
 
Every dog and owner team is different, so we offer a number of training options depending on your goals, experience level, and the challenges you may be facing. 
 
Two-session Foundation package 

Our most popular option is our comprehensive two-session Foundation package, which currently costs $250 within the Wynnum–Manly area. Additional travel and toll charges may apply outside the local area. 
 
This package is suitable for puppies, foundation training, general manners and behavioural troubleshooting. 
 
The first session is held in your home, where dogs are generally calmer and more able to learn without overwhelming distractions. 
 
Our philosophy is simple: reward the behaviours you want and calmly manage and block the behaviours you don’t want. 
 
We use positive reinforcement methods alongside practical household management to help create dogs that are enjoyable to live with in the real world. 
 
At the end of the first session, we often record a short audio or video recap on your phone so you can simply press play later to refresh your memory. 
 
Around three weeks later, we return for the second session. 
 
This is not an “exam” or pass-or-fail test. It is simply a relaxed follow-up session where we fine-tune your training, answer questions, troubleshoot anything that may have popped up, and help guide you forward. 
 
Follow-up sessions 
 
Once you have completed the CLEAR Foundation package, follow-up sessions are available for $80 for 45 minutes at a park in Wynnum. Home visits are also available at additional cost depending on travel. 
 
These sessions are ideal for owners wanting additional support, dog sports training, advanced skills, or real-world distraction work. 
 
Walk-and-train sessions 
 
We also offer one-on-one walk-and-train sessions for busy owners who would like an extra helping hand with their dog’s training. 
 
These sessions are available exclusively to owners who have already completed the CLEAR Foundation package and are familiar with our training philosophy and methods. 
 
Walk-and-train sessions currently cost $80 for 45 minutes. 
 
One-off training sessions 
 
We also offer one-off training sessions for owners needing help with a specific issue. These sessions are currently $150. 
 
One-off sessions may include behavioural troubleshooting, general manners, foundation skills or dog sports training. 
 
A small boutique business 
 
CLEAR Dog Training is a small boutique business, and all training sessions are personally conducted by owner and head trainer Caroline Strainig. 
 
This means you are not booked in with a rotating roster of trainers or handed off to junior staff. 
 
Original CLEAR founder Oliver Beverly is also available as a consultant to Caroline when needed, allowing access to additional experience and a trusted second opinion on more complex behavioural cases.

We believe dogs learn best when training is enjoyable, consistent, fair, and easy for owners to apply in everyday life. 
 
Head trainer Caroline regularly attends seminars presented by leading international trainers visiting Australia and continues her education through online learning with respected animal behaviourists from around the world. 
 
She also actively trains and competes with her own dogs and regularly works with foster and project dogs, helping keep her connected to the real-world challenges owners face every day. 
 
Our goal is not simply to train dogs. It is to help owners build calm, rewarding relationships with dogs they genuinely enjoy living with.
